The over-all goal of the Lakeway Estates POA is to help maintain our neighborhood and keep it a beautiful and enjoyable place to live. The property restrictions apply to all residents and were written to ensure that our property values are maintained.

Neighborhood Clean Up

Rescheduled to Wednesday April 24, 2024
due to rain.

Hi Neighbors! 
On April 20, 2024 we will host our Annual Neighborhood Clean Up from 8:30 am-4 pm. This falls on the same day as the City of Tool Trash Off, but this event is specific to our neighborhood. Join us as we come together to clean out and clean up our community.
 
Here’s what you need to know:
– We have hired a crew for the day to help with all the heavy clean up and haul off, but still need volunteers to help
– We will meet at the front entrance at 8:30 am and work until we are done, probably around 4 pm
– FREE lunch and bottled water for all who volunteer to participate
– We will clear out/clean up brush, rubble, overgrowth, any rubbish on the outside of your house that needs to go and then it will be hauled off
–  Please bring the following items:
Shovel, Clippers, Blower, Rake, Trash Bags, Sunscreen, Gloves
– Please wear appropriate clothing to protect from the sun, poison ivy, stickers etc.
– FREE lunch will be served to all volunteers at 12 noon
 
NOTE: **IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING ON YOUR PROPERTY THAT YOU WOULD LIKE US TO HELP HAUL OFF (I.E. OLD FURNITURE, APPLIANCES, LUMBER, BRUSH, TREE LIMBS/STUMPS, ETC) ON APRIL 20, PLEASE CONTACT JULIE SPANOS AT 214-537-4401 NO LATER THAN APRIL 13 TO GET IT SCHEDULED AND MAKE SURE IT IS SOMETHING WE CAN TAKE. **
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

     Get ice tea, soft drinks, ice
     Get paper plates, and napkins – Joann already donated
     Get Cookies
     Get chips – DONE – Julie S. has already donated
 
Clean up Crews
Steve Spanos & Glenda Rushing have volunteered to direct the crew the day of the event. Billie Hathaway is directing the crew prior to April 20.
Need volunteers to help with brush, weed, limb clean up around the neighborhood.
Hauling
If we need extra hauls to the dump, Steve Spanos and Tommy Salvato have volunteered to make a run. Anyone have a trailer we can borrow?
Can we count on you to be there? Please RSVP so we can get a head count for our volunteer crews. We appreciate you all so much and look forward to coming together in a united effort to beautify our neighborhood!

2023 Nominating Committee

Just a reminder that the Annual Meeting will be on November 4, 2023. I put out a notice on September 11 asking for volunteers to serve on a nominating committee, but nobody has volunteered. We need at least two active members not on the board to create this committee. If we don’t have enough volunteers for the committee, nominations can still be made at the Annual Meeting from the floor. As a reminder, the board positions have a three-year term limit and both Shane and I are ineligible to serve in our current positions.

2023 Annual Picnic

The annual picnic is on Saturday October 14th at 5PM. The event will be held at 118 Wood Crest and is BYOB. BBQ and bottled water will be provided. If each family could bring a side dish to share, we’ll all go home with full bellies. Please reply on Facebook or email david@udfrag.com with your RSVP so we know how much BBQ to order. If the weather permits, we might play a movie after dark so bring a lawn chair if you want a guaranteed seat.
